Field Trips and Overnight Retreats

Learning Beyond the Classroom

Field Trips

Field trips are an extension of the classroom, bringing learning to life through meaningful, hands-on experiences. Our students attend performances at the McCallum Theater, visit the Whitewater and Indian Canyons Nature Preserves, visit local farms and other cultural destinations. Through these excursions, students deepen their understanding by connecting lessons to real-world experiences.

At Sacred Heart School, field trips also support our mission of forming the whole child. These opportunities encourage curiosity, critical thinking, collaboration, and a greater appreciation for God's creation and the diverse communities around us. Students develop confidence, independence, and lasting friendships while discovering that learning extends far beyond the walls of the classroom.

Overnight Retreats

Our overnight retreats provide students with meaningful opportunities to grow as leaders, strengthen friendships, and deepen their faith. Through team-building activities, prayer, reflection, and shared experiences, students develop confidence, compassion, and a greater sense of responsibility to serve others.

Rooted in our Catholic values, these retreats foster leadership, character, and spiritual growth while creating lasting memories and meaningful connections. Students return with a renewed sense of purpose, stronger relationships, and a deeper understanding of what it means to lead with faith, integrity, and kindness.
